I’d never done any birding photography until a few years ago, when I noticed hummingbirds feeding around a bunch of lilies in my garden. I set up a 300mm lens, various shutter speeds and iso’s depending on the light, and just sat with a beer in one hand and a cable release in the other. After 2 weeks, I had some great pictures, including my first in Nat Geo’s Daily Dozen. Love your pictures. What a great hobby! I’m going to put your site on my blog roll and keep coming back.
